Why this display chest freezer earns its place
The TEFCOLD ST401 is a display chest freezer with a hinged glass lid, built to store and merchandise frozen stock from a single top-opening cabinet. The glass lid lets customers see the contents while the freezer holds 350 litres of net capacity from 401 litres gross. The white exterior and white painted-steel interior give a clean finish for shop-floor or back-of-house use.
Static cooling holds the cabinet from -24 to -14 °C, deep enough for long-term frozen storage of packed goods, ice cream and frozen ingredients. Defrost is manual, so the cabinet is emptied and cleared of ice build-up periodically, and a mechanical controller sets the temperature. It runs at 45 dB on R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant. Rated energy class D at 854.1 kWh a year, it costs about £214 a year at 25p/kWh.
The cabinet measures 1302 × 715 × 878 mm (W×D×H) and weighs 78 kg gross, packing to 1400 × 750 × 1000 mm for delivery — check doorways and access against the packed size before it arrives. It runs from a standard 13 A supply at 220-240 V, drawing 141 W, and is rated to climate class 4. The R290 charge is 105 g.
