Why this sliding lid ice cream freezer earns its place
The Tefcold NIC502SCEB is a white ice cream display freezer sized for scooped and pre-pack retail. With 475 litres gross and 367 litres of net usable volume it gives a parlour or shop a substantial bank of frozen stock to merchandise and serve from, in a white finish inside and out, with a white painted-steel interior that reads clean on a customer-facing counter.
Day to day it holds a display and storage band of -24 to -14 °C under a mechanical controller, with manual defrost, so the routine is a straightforward set-and-run with a periodic manual defrost rather than an electronic programme. Running noise is rated at 45 dB and it is built to climate class 5 for warmer service environments. On energy it is class D, rated at 957.4 kWh a year — about £239 a year at 25p/kWh.
For install and build, the freezer uses R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant with a 110 g charge and runs from a 13 amp supply. Its internal dimensions are 1430 × 510 × 571 mm (W×D×H), and at 122 kg gross it is a heavy cabinet, so plan access and siting for delivery. Full external dimensions and the warranty are listed in the spec table below.
