Why this sliding lid ice cream freezer earns its place
The TEFCOLD NIC402SC is a sliding-lid ice cream chest freezer sized for prepacked impulse sales. At 1180 mm wide it offers 390 litres gross and 298 litres net, a broad top-loading spread for merchandising tubs, cones and lollies where footfall passes — forecourt, kiosk or shop entrance — in a plain white finish.
It runs -24 to -14 °C on static cooling with a mechanical controller and manual defrost, at 45 dB. The cabinet uses R290 refrigerant with a 105 g charge. At energy class D on 727.1 kWh a year, that works out at about £182 a year at 25p/kWh, before you factor in how often the lids are opened.
The internal dimensions are 1180 × 510 × 571 mm (W×D×H), with a gross weight of 87 kg and net weight of 72 kg. It draws 225 W on a standard 220-240 V / 50 Hz, 13 A supply. The refrigerant is hydrocarbon R290.
