THE WORKING VIEW

Why this sliding lid ice cream freezer earns its place

The NIC101CP is a compact display chest freezer for merchandising frozen impulse lines where space is tight. The curved sliding glass lid keeps ice cream, lollies and frozen snacks on show while under cover, and at 130 litres gross / 115 litres net it slots into a small counter, kiosk or till-point run without taking a full-size cabinet's footprint. The white finish keeps the focus on the product.

It runs static cooling across a -24 to -14 °C band on a mechanical controller, keeping ice cream firm and frozen stock properly frozen. Defrost is manual, so you plan it into a quiet period rather than losing display time to an automatic cycle. It is rated energy class D at 492.8 kWh a year — about £123 a year at 25p/kWh — and at 41 dB it is quiet enough to sit right by a customer.

Drawing just 105 W, it plugs into a standard 220-240 V supply on a 13 A socket, so no special electrical work is needed. At 50 kg gross it is a manageable two-person lift into position, and it uses R600a refrigerant with a 50 g charge. The white painted steel interior wipes down easily between stock changes.

BEFORE YOU BUY

Questions, answered straight

It runs a -24 to -14 °C band on static cooling with a mechanical controller. That keeps ice cream firm and frozen impulse stock properly frozen.

It is 130 litres gross and 115 litres net — a compact well sized for a small run of frozen impulse lines rather than bulk storage.

It is rated energy class D at 492.8 kWh a year, which is about £123 a year at 25p/kWh. Drawing only 105 W, it is cheap to leave on at a till point.

Yes. It runs at 41 dB, quiet enough to place right beside a counter or till without intruding on the customer.

No. It runs on a standard 220-240 V supply through a 13 A socket, drawing 105 W, so a normal shop socket is all it needs.

Defrost is manual, so clear it during a quiet period rather than expecting an automatic cycle. For servicing or spec questions our team is on 01792 732702.
