Why this sliding lid ice cream freezer earns its place
The TEFCOLD IC702SC is a large sliding-lid ice cream chest freezer for high-volume prepacked sales. At 1930 mm wide it offers 670 litres gross and 560 litres net — a wide top-loading bank to merchandise tubs, cones and lollies where footfall is heavy — in a plain white finish.
It runs -24 to -14 °C on static cooling with a mechanical controller and manual defrost, at 45 dB. The cabinet uses R290 refrigerant with a 90 g charge. At energy class D on 1342.1 kWh a year, that works out at about £336 a year at 25p/kWh, before you factor in how often the lids are opened.
The internal dimensions are 1930 × 510 × 655 mm (W×D×H), with a gross weight of 115 kg and net weight of 100 kg, so plan two people to position it. It draws 400 W on a standard 220-240 V / 50 Hz supply. The refrigerant is hydrocarbon R290.
