Why this sliding lid ice cream freezer earns its place
The IC402SCEB is a sliding curved glass-lid chest freezer built for impulse frozen display — ice cream and packaged frozen lines shown through a curved glass top that customers slide open to reach in. The white cabinet puts the product on show at eye-catching angle rather than tucking it away in solid-lid storage.
It runs at -24 to -14 °C on static cooling, the band that keeps frozen and scooping product firm. Defrost is manual and the controls are mechanical, so temperature is set and held without a digital menu. Running noise is 45 dB, quiet enough for a shop floor, and the refrigerant is R290.
Energy class is D, and at 827.8 kWh a year that works out at about £207 a year at 25p/kWh. The cabinet is finished in white outside with white painted steel inside. Manual defrost is the routine upkeep task, cleared periodically by hand as normal for a static-cooled display freezer.
