Why this sliding lid ice cream freezer earns its place
The TEFCOLD IC101SC is a compact chest freezer built for frozen point-of-sale display, putting ice cream and frozen impulse lines within reach without taking much floor. Its 570 × 570 mm footprint suits a kiosk, counter end or serve point, and 108 litres gross (91 litres net) holds a working range of tubs, boxes and novelties. A white exterior and white painted-steel interior keep it presentable on a busy shop floor.
It runs static cooling across a -24 to -14 °C band, cold enough to hold ice cream and frozen product hard, with manual defrost and a mechanical controller you set once and leave. Rated at 45 dB it stays quiet enough for customer-facing spaces, and climate class 5 means it is built to hold temperature in warm ambient conditions. Energy class D at 441.6 kWh a year works out at about £110 a year at 25p/kWh.
It uses natural R600a refrigerant with a 60 g charge and draws just 80 W, running from a standard 13 amp socket on a 220-240 V supply, so no special electrics are needed. External dimensions are 570 × 570 × 897 mm (W×D×H) at 42 kg net, light enough to lift into position and move as the shop floor changes. Packed it measures 680 × 700 × 950 mm for delivery access.
