Why this tray earns its place
The 180 mm depth is what makes this a storage tray rather than a serving one. It holds a load in bulk instead of a single layer, and the sides are high enough that the contents stay where they were put when it is lifted and carried. That covers most of the awkward jobs in a store: a delivery broken down into its parts, a batch of prep waiting to be used, or the loose small stock that otherwise spreads itself along a shelf until nobody can find any of it.
The external footprint, 560 × 420 mm, is the number to check before ordering. It decides whether the tray drops into your shelving, your rack or the space under a bench, so measure the clear width and depth of the run it is going into, not the outside of the frame. The 180 mm height matters in the same way when trays are going into a shelf run with a fixed pitch.
Polythene handles the conditions this job runs in. It does not corrode in a damp store or a cold room, it does not dent when a corner catches a door frame, and it cleans down with a wipe rather than needing to be scoured. Grey is the practical end of the colour range — it does not broadcast every scuff the way a pale tray does, so it still looks in order after a season of being loaded, carried and stacked on a wet bench. The manufacturer describes it as sturdy, which is the property that counts once 180 mm of depth is full and it has to be carried across a kitchen.
