Why this multi purpose carrier earns its place
A carrier is the piece of kit that does the jobs nobody writes down: deliveries off the van and into the store, prepped stock from the bench to the coldroom, crockery back from a function, cleaning kit to wherever the job is. Multi-purpose is a fair description rather than a marketing one — most kitchens end up with several doing several different things, and the reason they earn shelf space is that they move a load in one trip instead of four.
The venting is the detail that matters day to day. Open sides let air move through what is inside instead of trapping it, so produce is not sweating in a sealed box, and they let water out again when the carrier itself is washed — the difference between something you rinse, shake and put back into service, and something that sits upside down all afternoon waiting to dry. Grey plastic takes the knocks that go with the job: dropped on a floor, dragged off a shelf, loaded past what anyone intended. It marks rather than cracks, and it does not show every scuff the way a pale one would.
