Why this product earns its place
Three hundred millimetres across, 160 mm deep under the dome: this cover fits a dinner plate. The polycarbonate is crystal-clear, so the plating you sweated over doesn't disappear under frosted plastic. It's a working cover for working kitchens.
Polycarbonate is the commercial standard because it's stronger than glass (won't shatter in the dishwasher), won't cloud or frost like cheaper plastics, and handles the heat between plating and pass without warping. You can bring this straight from the pass, place it over a hot plate, and it stays true. A little condensation will run down the inside, but it won't gather on top of the food—the dome shape and slight breathability mean moisture runs away, not down.
The Olympia Kristallon range is built for this: stackable when empty, durable through hundreds of cycles, lightweight enough that you're not carrying dead weight between plating and table, but rigid enough that it won't flex under trembling hands. Dishwasher safe, so no hand-washing creep into your workflow. At 265 grammes it's barely there, but it does the job.
