Why this gn pan earns its place
A 1/6 gastronorm lid fits the rim of a 1/6 pan and holds a medium portion for service or storage. The clear polypropylene lets you see what is inside without lifting the cover — speeds up identification during busy prep or holding. The lid nests securely on the pan rim and remains stable when stacked, even through transport or storage repositioning.
Polypropylene resists thermal shock between cold holding and hot bain marie use (up to +60 °C). It washes hot without warping and survives daily commercial dishwashing. The seal is loose and adequate for short-term holding and stacking; it is not designed for vacuum seal or long-term fridge storage without additional wrapping. Keep a 1/6 lid on each 1/6 pan during service to protect contents and maintain identity through the holding cycle.
