Why this lid earns its place
The Pujadas Polinorm lid is designed for 1/9 GN trays, giving smaller pans the same practical covering and identification benefits as larger gastronorm formats. It is suitable for suitably sized stainless steel, plastic or ceramic trays, so it slots neatly into prep stations, storage routines and ingredient organisation.
Made from polyethylene, the lid is built for everyday commercial use and is both dishwasher safe and freezer safe. The manufacturer states a temperature range of -40°C to 110°C, so it can stay in service across cold storage and normal kitchen handling without changing materials or format.
The red colour supports a clear colour-coding system in the kitchen. Pujadas notes that red is often associated with raw meats, which makes this lid a useful visual cue when teams are separating ingredients and keeping tray contents easy to identify.
