Why this lid earns its place
At 176 mm wide and just 25 mm tall, this ninth-size lid slips onto 1/9 GN pans without adding stack height — critical when you're racking dozens of mise en place containers in a low-clearance blast chiller or under-counter fridge. The polycarbonate body takes a direct hit from a dropped tray or a panicked elbow in service and simply bounces; it won't crack, shatter, or leave sharp shards in your prep line.
The notched front edge is sized for a standard portioning spoon, so sauce stations and salad bars can dispense cleanly without lifting the lid and breaking the cold chain. Temperature tolerance spans −40 °C in the deep freeze to 100 °C on the bain-marie, and the material stays cool to the touch even at the top end — no more burnt fingertips when you're pulling lids off a rolling rack in the middle of lunch rush.
Dishwasher-safe and freezer-safe, the lid drip-dries in seconds and stacks without sticking. At 50 grams it adds negligible weight to a loaded pan, and the clear finish lets kitchen staff ID contents at a glance — no peeling tape labels, no mystery tubs.
