Why this lid earns its place
The Vogue black polycarbonate 1/6 GN lid is the matching cover for Vogue's 1/6-size polycarbonate gastronorm pans. At 176 mm wide and 25 mm high, it seats securely on the pan flange to hold temperature, protect contents from cross-contamination, and allow stable stacking in storage and transport. Weighing just 90 g, it adds negligible weight to a loaded pan and lifts off one-handed.
Built from virtually unbreakable polycarbonate, the lid handles the full working range of a professional kitchen: freezer-safe to –40 °C for blast-chill and frozen storage, heat-resistant to 100 °C for hot-holding and bain-marie cover, and fully dishwasher-safe for rapid turnaround. The material stays cool to the touch even when the pan comes out of a hot cabinet, so staff can handle it safely without waiting. Polycarbonate also drip-dries fast, cutting turnaround between service periods.
The black finish is a practical choice for front-of-house and back-of-house alike — it doesn't show staining from oils, sauces or repeated handling, and it presents cleanly on buffet lines and deli counters. Being polycarbonate rather than metal or glass, there's no risk of denting, chipping, corrosion or sharp edges developing over time, and the material is food-safe for direct contact.
