Why this wine glasse earns its place
The Enoteca is a glass that gets used. You'll find it in pubs, casual restaurants, wine bars and anywhere wine service is real work rather than theatre. At 615ml capacity, it holds a generous pour (the recommended serving size is 250ml—you can fit a 175ml house pour and still have room for the customer to swirl without spilling). The bowl is wide enough to allow the wine to aerate, but the glass keeps its proportions practical rather than precious.
What matters in restaurant glassware is durability, clarity and forgettability. The Enoteca does all three. It's Utopia glass, which means it's rated for commercial dishwashing without developing the haze or cloudiness that lesser glassware picks up after a few hundred cycles. It doesn't have decorative elements that catch and break. The stem is proportionate and designed to survive being bumped on tables, cleared rapidly, and handled by waiting staff in a busy service.
The 615ml capacity is the sweet spot for wine service in casual dining. It's not so small that the customer feels short-poured, not so large that they feel encouraged to linger over an empty glass. A standard restaurant pours 175ml of house wine and 150ml of premium wine; the Enoteca accommodates both comfortably with room to swirl.
