Why this plate earns its place
At 165mm diameter, these coupe plates work for side courses, bread, cheese, or desserts—small enough to feel intentional at a cover, large enough to carry weight and not appear thin. The coupe profile curves gently inward from the rim, a classic hospitality shape that looks refined on the table and stacks reliably in storage. The reactive crackled finish—inspired by the Japanese art of kintsugi—renders each plate subtly unique and masks minor marks that would show on plain black ceramics.
Super-vitrified ceramic is fired at high temperature to create a non-porous, durable surface that resists chipping better than standard earthenware and survives years of rapid service. The fully glazed foot prevents scratching the plate beneath during stacking, and the Eco glaze protects against staining from wine, butter, and acidic foods. They move through a commercial dishwasher safely and can be reheated without thermal shock.
