Why this plate earns its place
A side plate sized for bread and butter, or a small starter when plating from a composed par. The 165 mm width is deliberate — big enough to centre the sunburst pattern and anchor it visually, small enough to fit anywhere on a table setting without taking up real estate. Round shape means it works alongside any dinner or platter regardless of the rim treatment.
Super-vitrified ceramic resists chipping at the edge, where side plates take the most impact during clearing and stacking. The underglaze pattern is fired into the glaze during manufacture, not printed on top, so it survives hundreds of passthrough dishwasher cycles without fading or developing the crazing that cheap tableware gets after a few years. Microwave-safe if needed for a quick warm.
Stackable and light at 0.3 kg per plate — a full 12-pack weighs just 3.6 kg and stacks to roughly 120 mm high. Compact enough to fit par shelves or a small-venue storage scheme. The coupe shape means they nest securely without jamming.
