Why this plate earns its place
Alchemy side plates sit between bread plates and dinner plates, sized to the bread-and-butter course in table service or the smaller plate in a mixed set. At 165 mm, they carry a starter or fish course cleanly without crowding the table.
The vitrified porcelain glaze holds up to the repeated thermal shock of 50-plus plate washes a day. Stackable plates cut storage footprint in tight kitchens — a 12-pack stack to around 190 mm, and they interlock without chipping edges when handled on the rush. Churchill warranties five years against edge chip, which is meaningful language: it means the factory expects these to survive being stacked, moved, and washed in volume.
The contemporary white finish is neutrally professional — it won't date a menu redesign, and it suits both fine dining and café service without apology.
