Why this plate earns its place
The side plate sits where bread belongs or where a small starter gets its own space in a multi-course service. At 170 mm, it is a fixed size in the Isla range and serves that one clear job. Super-vitrified ceramic means it survives the combination of high-temperature wash cycles and regular hand-wear without the rim degradation that softer ceramics show.
The Shale Grey dappled finish is neutral and contemporary. It does not compete with food or service style. Grey also diffuses water spotting, which matters on plates that spend their life wet — the pattern keeps the finish looking maintained through shift after shift.
