Why this plate earns its place
At 165mm (6.5"), these are the smallest plate in a formal place setting — bread plate, or home for a side dish when plating calls for it. The 162mm actual diameter gives the plate a slight visual weight without taking up large footprint space. Churchill's fine china body, strengthened with added alumina, resists the wear pattern of softer ceramics through repeated high-heat washing.
The Alchemy Abstract pattern is a raised geometrical motif across the plate face. It's a visual marker without functional impact — works equally well for bread, a small side of vegetables, or a palate-cleanser course.
