Why this platterstray earns its place
Gastronorm sizing means these 325 × 176mm rectangular platters fit directly into standard hotel pan covers and serving lines — no translation or adaptation needed. In melamine rather than ceramic, they bring different strengths: durability against chipping, thermal stability across temperature swings, and the confidence to stack high in storage without rim damage. Steelite designed these specifically to answer demand from kitchens that work with GN equipment and need serving ware that speaks the same language.
White melamine reads clean and contemporary on a buffet or service line. The rectangular format is more versatile than you'd expect — cheese and charcuterie, sliced cold meats, bread service, desserts, garnish arrays, or any composed plate where the shape itself contributes to the presentation. At 176mm depth and 325mm length, there's genuine surface without being unwieldy to carry or navigate a crowded pass.
Melamine handles thermal stress differently than ceramic. You can go from fridge to warm service without cracking or crazing. It's also more forgiving if bumped or stacked under load — the material flexes rather than shatters. Dishwasher safe, these platters clear service quickly and restock tight in a cupboard. Three per pack is realistic for working volume: one on the line, one in the wash, one in reserve.
