Why this platter earns its place
The 215×129 mm platter is the smaller-format sharing piece or the individual plated-presentation board — a charcuterie pair, a fish course, grilled veg and bread, or a composed salad at a place setting. The rectangular format optimises the table footprint without needing a large round piece; the coupe edge contains food during hand-pass and keeps items visible without tipping. At 215 mm long, it's wide enough for a three-item composition, narrow enough to fit comfortably in front of a seated diner.
Stoneware conducts and holds heat steadily, which matters if the platter comes from the kitchen warm or if a diner takes time to eat. The glazed exterior resists the stains that spot lighter ceramics — oil from smoked fish, tomato juice, balsamic marks. The patterned glaze (Mediterranean-inspired organic marks fired into the kiln) is permanent; it hides dust, watermarks and minor scratches that would show plainly on a plain glaze.
At 5.3 kg per pack of 6, these are light enough to handle during service but dense enough to signal durability. The rectangular stackable profile means they pack efficiently into a smaller footprint than round platters — a practical advantage when the brief includes both table-service platters and plating dishes. Dishwasher safe after every service; no separators needed.
