Why this plate earns its place
The 376 × 140 mm rectangular tile from Churchill's Raku range holds a full cheese board or antipasti service on a single piece. Porcelain resists chipping through busy service, and the matte black finish suppresses fingerprints and cutlery marks that show on lighter crockery. Each tile carries the Raku aesthetic — handmade-looking glaze and surface variation inspired by traditional pottery firing techniques — that works particularly well with craft-focused menus and modern plating, where arrangement and negative space carry visual weight.
Tiles stack compactly with others in the range for storage between seatings. Dishwasher cycles don't mark or dull the glaze. You get four per pack, enough to maintain at least one set in rotation while another cycles through wash.
