Why this platter earns its place
The 1/2 gastronorm size is the working standard for most buffet lines—wide enough to hold a full salad or roasted vegetable service, long enough to read as intentional, and compact enough to sit two or three across a buffet table without crowding. Melamine anthracite (a soft charcoal-grey) grounds food colours without the harshness of black, and the textured finish mimics natural stone, which signals quality without trying too hard.
Melamine takes abuse in a way porcelain can't: it survives the service spoon, the stack, the bump into the next container. The 1/2 size stacks tight with other gastronorm containers, so you can prep a full service in the kitchen, stack it all, and move one unit to the line. The textured surface keeps platters from slipping against each other when stacked.
This size works equally well as a standalone presentation platter or nested inside a gastronorm frame for pass-through inserts.
