Why this bowl earns its place
A 280mm dinner plate is the workhorse of pasta service — wide enough for a full portion of risotto or tagliatelle, narrow enough that the food pile doesn't cool down on the rim. Royal Porcelain's vitrified porcelain glaze is rigid; it resists the chip damage that catches the eye faster than anything else during service. When a plate chips, it comes out of rotation immediately, so chip resistance is not a nice-to-have in busy kitchens.
At 52.5mm deep, there's a defined well that holds sauce without spillage during plating or handover to front-of-house. Porcelain doesn't absorb water or stain the way earthenware does. A passthrough dishwasher cycles these 100-plus times before the glaze shows wear. White pairs with any menu — it doesn't competes with the food.
Stacking is efficient; round plates nest vertically, so 6 plates per case take minimal space on shelves or in transport. Freezer-safe for advance plating or holding pre-plated dishes during service.
