Why this plate earns its place
A 250mm oval plate is sized for a main course plating: enough room for protein, vegetable, and sauce without crowding the plate. The stoneware body absorbs minor knocks that would crack ceramic ware. The reactive glaze — different on each piece — adds depth without needing applied pattern or hand-finishing, which speeds service and keeps cost down.
Stoneware is denser and harder than china, which means it resists chipping better under the wear of stacking, storage, and repeated dishwasher cycles. The oval format is practical for presentations where a circle feels too formal or symmetrical — it works equally well for plated food and for mixed platters when you need backup crockery mid-service.
