Why this plate earns its place
The Makers Collection draws from Nordic craftsmanship: each plate carries hand-glazed radial markings that mimic the texture of hand-woven jute, created in-glaze for kitchen durability. Grey vitrified china resists chipping at the rim and bounce-marks from the pass-through, which matters in a busy kitchen where plates stack and slide daily.
At 290 mm, this is the diameter most chefs reach for: room enough for a full plated main without crowding, compact enough to stack efficiently on a shelf. Finest vitrified means the surface won't craze under thermal shock: cold plate into hot food, then straight into the dishwasher at 65 °C. Stacks cleanly and runs through standard high-temperature cycles without degradation.
Hand-finished glazing reads as premium to the diner, which justifies a higher-end menu position whilst the coupe rim's soft edge and durability keep replacement costs down.
