At 254 mm, Alchemy Abstract covers the midpoint between a side plate and a full dinner plate. In service, use these for starters, bread and butter courses, or light mains in a compact-service restaurant. The fine china body is vitrified and reinforced with added alumina, which fortifies the ceramic against the thermal shock of commercial dishwashing and slows the rim degradation that softer ceramics show after months of heavy use. The glaze stays white and doesn't yellow over time the way unrefined ceramics do.
The shallow geometrical embossment adds visual lift without trapping food particles. At 0.667 kg per 12-pack, these are light enough to ship economically and store in tight spaces — a practical advantage in kitchens where plate inventory is high.
