Why this plate earns its place
The 205mm sits between place-setting and main course territory — it's your starter plate, dessert plate, and light course plate in one. The coupe profile (flat, no rim) maximises usable surface, so small portions don't look thin on the plate.
Taupe stoneware at this size is deceptively useful. It won't whisper "starter" the way a smaller side plate does, but it's disciplined enough that it doesn't dominate when you're building a two-course plate or a light lunch. It works in fine-dining progression menus, contemporary brunch services, and casual plated desserts.
Stoneware retains heat through hot starters, and the reactive glaze picks up light without trying to add warmth or elegance through colour. Stackable and dishwasher-safe to 65°C, with six per pack for stable rotation.
