Why this plate earns its place
The 228mm coupe sits between a side plate and a main — the finishing course size, or a generous starter. Super-vitrified ceramic with an underglaze sunburst pattern that lives below the glaze surface, so it survives hundreds of commercial wash cycles without degradation or fading.
Unlike surface decoration, underglaze pattern won't chip away when cutlery scrapes the plate or when it stacks. The colour stays where it was placed because the glaze seals it in place. This matters on smaller plates where the pattern sits closer to where you eat.
At 228mm, they stack efficiently and take both plating and casual service. Dishwasher safe and microwave ready, finished to the same specification as the larger sizes so a graduated set works across service.
