THE WORKING VIEW

Why this cup earns its place

A 70 ml espresso cup hits the sweet spot for espresso and ristretto service: enough capacity for a proper extraction with crema, tight enough that the drink stays hot from cup to lip. At 50 mm tall and 57 mm wide, the proportions sit naturally in the hand and present well on the saucer without looking swallowed by the tableware.

Super-vitrified ceramic fires dense and hard, resisting the thermal shock of hot espresso poured straight into a cold cup — a stress that cracks lighter crockery. The white glaze stays unmarked by coffee stains, and the hand-cast finish gives enough grip that the cup doesn't slip under the heat of a full demitasse.

Pack of six gives you espresso turnover across a single station through a morning service. Each cup weighs 0.11 kg and is dishwasher-safe, so fast passthrough washing won't degrade the glaze or chip the rim — important when you're pulling espresso all shift long.

BEFORE YOU BUY

Questions, answered straight

A full espresso extraction takes 25–30 seconds and produces roughly 25–30 ml of liquid. The 70 ml cup gives you space for the shot, crema that rises above the rim, and room for a saucer handle or milk if the customer asks for a macchiato without losing the head.

Super-vitrified ceramic has good heat retention. Warm the cup with hot water before pouring to bridge the temperature drop — standard practice on any espresso bar. A prewarmed cup keeps the shot drinkable for three to four minutes.

If you pull espresso constantly, one pack of six will run about three customer services at a two-minute pour rate. Most venues run three to four packs in rotation, leaving you time to run the passthrough washer without running out.

No. Super-vitrified glaze doesn't absorb liquid. Rinse between services as normal hygiene, but the white won't yellow or absorb stain even if a cup sits for hours. The finish is inherently stain-resistant.

Yes. The 70 ml cup works for a ristretto topped with milk or a cortado. For a full cappuccino, you'll want a larger cup — the drink will spill on the saucer otherwise.
