The story

Buffalo is one of Nisbets’ own brands — the cooking half of the pairing every startup kitchen knows. Polar keeps it cold; Buffalo cooks it. Same Bristol parentage, same philosophy: sensible kit, in stock, at money a new food business can actually find.

The £305 catalogue median tells the story — this is the brand of the counter-top: induction hobs, griddles, fryers, contact grills and heated display that turn any bench into a cooking line. It’s been doing that for more than seventeen years, which is a long apprenticeship in not letting a burger van down on a Saturday.

And don’t file it as toys: the range climbs all the way to a £7,099 touchscreen combi oven, and the modular electric line lets a growing kitchen add stations one plug at a time. Plenty of businesses that started with one Buffalo griddle are still buying Buffalo — just more of it.

Where Buffalo earns its keep

The dealer’s view — where we reach for Buffalo first, and where we honestly don’t.

Where it earns its keep

Counter-top cooking and hot holding at entry money — the induction hobs, griddles, fryers and heated display that get a food business trading.

Best-fit customer

Startups, mobile caterers, market traders and low-volume sites — plus established kitchens that need a second station without a second mortgage.

The heartland range

The counter-top electric line: induction hobs, 600 Series griddles and countertop fryers. Plug in, cook, get paid.

Where we’d point elsewhere

When the fryer runs twelve hours a day, buy the heavy metal — Falcon for the hard line, Lincat for British-built counter kit a duty grade up. Cold is Polar’s half of the family.

Buying Buffalo wisely

The Dealer’s Five — the questions we answer before any brand earns counter space.

Where does it earn its keep?

Getting kitchens trading: counter-top cooking, hot holding and display at prices a new business can carry.

Who is the best-fit customer?

Startups, vans, stalls, cafés — and any kitchen adding a low-volume station.

Where would we point elsewhere?

All-day heavy duty cycles (Falcon, Lincat) and refrigeration (Polar). Buffalo is the starter and the sidekick, not the siege engine.

Which range is the heartland choice?

The counter-top electric line — induction hobs, griddles and fryers. The catalogue’s spine and the counter’s engine.

What about support and availability?

Nisbets scale behind it — stock, spares and warranty through Britain’s biggest catering supplier. We confirm the live position on every order.

For counter-top stations and hot holding, yes — that’s its home ground. For twelve-hour heavy duty cycles we’d spec Falcon or Lincat instead, and we’ll tell you which honestly when you call.
