Why this hand soap earns its place
This is the bulk refill version of Ecover's plant-based lavender hand soap, built for washrooms that go through enough hand soap that restocking from 250ml bottles becomes a chore. It's aimed at facilities and cleaning teams managing multiple dispensers across a site.
The plant-based formula is tough on soiling yet gentle on hands, thanks to a pH-neutral profile that cleans effectively without drying out skin through repeated use across a shift. A lavender fragrance runs through the soap, masking odours and leaving hands smelling fresh well after washing rather than fading quickly.
Because the ingredients are renewable and plant-based, the soap has low aquatic toxicity, is biodegradable to international standards, and is made in a factory powered by renewable energy. It's also safe for sites on septic tank drainage, and the packaging is fully recyclable after use. The formula is dermatologically tested and approved, so it's suited to frequent hand washing without the irritation some commercial soaps cause.

Control of Substances Hazardous to Health — the routine every commercial kitchen and cleaning cupboard is expected to run.

SDS
Read the label and the manufacturer’s safety data sheet — the pictograms tell you what you are holding.

Who could be harmed, and how badly? Judge likelihood against severity before anyone opens the cap.

Eliminate or substitute first, engineer and organise next — PPE is the last line, never the first.

Keep the controls working: check ventilation, dosing equipment and storage stay as they should be.

Everyone who uses it knows the hazards, the correct dilution and the PPE — before the first shift, not after.

Products and processes change. Reassess when they do, and keep the record that proves it.
