Why this air steriliser earns its place

The HGX-W-05-O plugs into a standard socket, so it can be installed flexibly on the wall without planning a hard-wired electrical point. HyGenikx describes it as an air steriliser for occupied areas, using three technologies to eliminate bacteria, moulds and viruses in the air and on surfaces.

At 400 x 135 x 110mm and 1.4kg gross weight, the unit is small enough for offices, reception areas and similar wall spaces where hygiene has to improve without adding floor-standing equipment. The white casing suits lighter fit-outs, while the plug connection keeps positioning practical around existing sockets.

Maintenance is designed to be visible before the unit is overdue. A flashing LED gives seven days' notice before the internal lamp and battery need replacing; after 12 months an alarm reminds users, and after 12 months and 15 days it sounds every 15 minutes until the lamp has been replaced. FP020 carries a 1 year parts and labour warranty.
