Why this mop head earns its place
F949 is a blue SYR Syntex Kentucky mop head from Scot Young, made with pre-shrunk, rot-free long-life fibre. The catalogue lists the head at 483mm wide by 737mm long, while the manufacturer description gives a maximum open spread of 735mm, with the head also described as 14in/355mm long by 19in/480mm wide.
The built-in scourer is the practical difference from a plain mop head: staff can work at stuck-on floor marks without swapping to a separate scouring pad mid-clean. The pre-shrunk fibre also matters in repeat use, because the head is supplied to keep its shape rather than starting oversized and tightening after the first wash.
The blue colour code makes F949 easy to assign within a colour-segregated cleaning system, especially where multiple mop heads are stored together. At 0.341kg gross weight, it is a lightweight head to hold in stock for routine floor cleaning rather than a bulky piece of equipment.
