Product description

Enjoy more effective floor cleaning with Jantex’s two-compartment mop bucket and down-press wringer. The mop bucket’s two compartments enable you to keep clean solution and dirty rinse water separate, avoiding cross-contamination and ensuring your floors are completely clean each time. The heavy-duty down-press wringer compresses even the thickest, wettest mop heads tightly with minimal effort, so you can easily reduce water waste and drying time.

Ideal for large commercial spaces, kitchens and janitorial teams, the mop bucket’s generous 30Ltr capacity enables you to wash more floorspace with fewer refills. Its smooth-rolling castor wheels allow it to glide effortlessly between rooms, providing good mobility even when full.

To help you improve your cleaning hygiene by colour-coding equipment, Jantex’s two-compartment mop bucket is available in four different colours. This variant is coded red, the colour typically used for washroom and toilet areas. Other variants of the mop bucket are red (product code JB542), blue (JB543) and green (JB544) – these allow you to keep equipment separated to reduce the risk of cross-contamination.

THE WORKING VIEW

Why this mop head earns its place

A kitchen floor is not just dirty, it's working with allergens, bacteria, grease breakdown products, and food traces. Environmental health, allergen protocols, due diligence — they all start with the bucket you use to clean the floor. You cannot use the same water that touched a toilet in your kitchen. You cannot mix yesterday's floor rinse with fresh cleaning solution and call it clean.

This bucket is colour-coded yellow for food prep and kitchen areas. The two-compartment design is non-negotiable for food safety: one side holds your clean cleaning solution, the other collects all rinse water and floor debris. You dunk the mop in the dirty side to rinse out what it picked up, then work with the clean side. That's the only way to ensure you're not progressively dirtying your clean water across the floor. One bucket with one water level would be cross-contamination waiting to happen.

30 litres covers substantial kitchen floorspace — production areas, prep zones, dry stores. Heavy foot traffic means frequent cleaning, so good capacity matters. The down-press wringer squeezes thick mop heads hard, so you get an efficient wring and faster drying on the floor. Wet floors in kitchens are a slip hazard and a food-safety liability; this wringer helps control that.

Questions, answered straight

A: Food safety regulations and allergen protocols demand that kitchen floors are cleaned with fresh water that has never contacted washroom water or non-food areas. Yellow equipment designated only for food zones prevents cross-contamination and demonstrates due diligence in audits.

A: Use whatever food-safe floor cleaner your kitchen protocol specifies. The bucket itself is just the container; your COSHH assessment and food-safety plan dictate what goes in. Never use the yellow bucket for anything other than kitchen and food-prep floor cleaning.

A: The clean compartment should be refilled whenever you notice it's picked up visible soil. The dirty compartment will fill with rinse water over time — empty it when you see sediment accumulating. In a busy kitchen, you might refill both 2–3 times per shift.

A: Yes. The heavy-duty down-press wringer is designed for kitchen conditions, including greasy mop heads. It squeezes grease-laden mops as effectively as standard floor mops.

A: No. If you're using the colour system, yellow stays in the kitchen and food-prep zones. Mixing uses defeats the purpose of the colour code and creates hygiene risk. If you're not using all four colours, use one bucket per zone consistently.

A: Favourably. It demonstrates that you have systems in place to prevent cross-contamination and that your team understands hygiene separation by zone. Many auditors specifically note colour-coded buckets as evidence of good cleaning discipline.
