Why this recycling bin earns its place
CX967 is the 87-litre glass-recycling version of Rubbermaid's Configure bin, supplied with a green glass-recycling label for a clearly marked waste stream. The body is grey, rectangular and made from heavy-gauge galvanised steel, with the powder-coated finish Rubbermaid specifies for busy public and back-of-house environments.
At 489mm wide, 495mm deep and 975mm high, it gives a useful 87-litre capacity without the footprint of a very large recycling point. The 31.75kg gross weight also tells you this is built as a fixed, durable station rather than a lightweight office bin.
Rubbermaid positions the Configure range for hotels, shopping centres, offices, airports and other high-end facilities where waste and recycling points need to look presentable while surviving frequent daily use. For glass recycling, that matters: the bin has to sit comfortably in sight of customers or staff and still cope with a regular stream of bottles and glass waste.
