Why this lobby dustpan earns its place
A lobby dustpan is the upright kind: a long-handled pan you sweep into standing up, instead of crouching over a hand pan with a brush. That matters where sweeping happens repeatedly through a shift — under tables between covers, along a corridor, around a service door, after every delivery. Doing that thirty times a day bent double is how backs go.
The cover is what separates the FA096 from a plain upright pan. It opens as you sweep in and closes as the pan comes upright, so the dust, crumbs and broken glass you have just collected stay in the pan on the walk to the bin rather than blowing back across the floor you have only just cleaned. In a dining room mid-service, that is the difference between clearing a mess and redistributing it.
