Why this handle earns its place
FA879 is a Scot Young handle for the SYR interchangeable cleaning range. It is made for sites that want one handle format to work across compatible mop, broom, squeegee and scrubber heads, rather than buying a different handle style for each cleaning task.
The handle is listed at 1390mm long, with the catalogue also giving an external size of 1388 x 36 x 36mm and a 25mm diameter. Those numbers are useful when matching it to storage hooks, cleaning cupboards and the working reach expected by staff.
Anodised aluminium keeps the handle light at 0.287kg gross while still giving it a metal build for repeated commercial cleaning use. The finish is black, with the supplier colour code listed as silver and black, so it can be kept distinct from colour-coded alternatives on a cleaning rota.
