Why this ice machine earns its place
The Manitowoc Indigo NXT iT0620 is a self-contained half-dice ice machine and storage bin package built for kitchens, bars and retailers where ice demand is high and downtime isn't an option. It produces up to 145 kg of half-dice cubes per day — the classic half-cube shape that cools drinks fast, nests tightly in the glass and melts slowly — and stores up to 95 kg in the included D320 bin so you're not refilling buckets through a busy service.
What separates the Indigo NXT from earlier Manitowoc models is the intelligence built into the machine. The easy-touch display shows real-time operating status, walks you through cleaning step by step, and runs a startup wizard that gets a new install running correctly first time. Behind the scenes, 24-hour preventative diagnostics monitor the refrigeration circuit, water flow and harvest cycle, flagging issues before they become breakdowns — and the machine runs reliably in ambients up to 43°C, so a hot kitchen or a scorching cellar won't stop production.
Efficiency has stepped up too: the NXT platform is up to 43% more energy-efficient than the previous Indigo generation, which cuts running costs noticeably on a machine running 18–24 hours a day. When demand drops, programmable ice-schedule modes scale production back automatically instead of making ice you'll just melt. When the rush hits, one touch ramps output back up.
