The IM-240-APE CY204 is the large-cube version of Hoshizaki's IM-240 modular ice maker. If the ice needs to look substantial in the glass and stand up through service, this is the variant to compare first against the medium-cube CY205.
Because CY204 is a modular head, the storage decision matters as much as the machine decision. Hoshizaki lists compatibility with CY212, CY213 and CY214 storage bins and top kits, depending on storage requirement. A lighter service point and a heavy hotel, club or event bar will not need the same reserve, so the machine, top kit and bin should be treated as one installation.
Hoshizaki's manufacturer material focuses on control, protection and installation checks. The closed-cell system is described as offering contamination protection, and microcomputer control manages the ice-making process for optimal performance.
