Why this ice cube machine earns its place
The DC DC55-25A is a self-contained ice cube machine built for bars, pubs and restaurants that need a steady supply of solid cubes without the complexity of a split system. Its stainless-steel exterior resists corrosion in busy back-of-house environments, while the insulated ABS storage bin keeps ice cold and hygienic between draws. The evaporator plates are treated to inhibit limescale build-up, which means longer intervals between descaling calls and more consistent cube formation over time.
Cubes come out crystalline and compact — the kind that cool a drink fast and linger in the glass rather than watering it down. That matters when you're serving premium spirits or high-volume gin and tonic service. The machine runs on R290 (natural propane), a hydrocarbon refrigerant with near-zero GWP, so it meets current F-gas regulations without needing a future retrofit. A built-in self-cleaning cycle cuts the time engineers spend on routine servicing.
It's a workhorse unit: fill the bin, close the door, and it keeps producing until the bin is full, then pauses until you draw ice. Simple, reliable, and built for the rhythm of a busy service. Note that the unit requires a gravity drain — for sites needing a drain pump, see the DC55-25A D variant.
