Why this crushed & flake ice machine earns its place
The DCT140-50A is the heavy hitter in DC's self-contained pebble ice range: 140 kg of nugget ice every 24 hours, stored in a 50 kg bin that's part of the same unit. That's seven times the daily output and twelve times the storage of the entry-level DCT85-20A, all in one box. For a busy nightclub, a high-volume cocktail bar or a hotel running banquets and a lobby bar simultaneously, this is the machine that means you never run out — and you never need a separate plant room.
Pebble ice (nugget ice) is the texture of choice for premium highballs, tiki drinks, frozen margaritas and craft soft serves. The compact, porous nuggets chill fast thanks to massive surface area, but they're denser than flake ice so they hold in the glass. Drinks stay cold, dilution stays controlled. It's also the ice that healthcare and hospitality specs call for when hydration stations or display wells need ice that doesn't turn to slush in an hour.
Because it's self-contained, you get modular-scale output without modular complexity. One footprint (check the spec sheet for exact W×D×H — it's a substantial unit), one 13 A or 16 A supply (rating plate wins), one ¾" BSP water inlet, one gravity drain. No head-to-bin pipe run to plan, no separate bin to level, no extra floor space. The 50 kg bin holds roughly 1,800–2,500 nuggets — enough to ride through a Friday night rush while the auger keeps feeding.
