Why this crushed & flake ice machine earns its place
Flake ice doesn't clink in a glass — it blankets a seafood counter, cushions a salad bar, and moulds around a knee injury in a sports clinic. The DCG90-30A produces 90 kg of it every 24 hours, extruding sub-zero flakes at –0.5 °C to –1 °C that pack tight without bruising delicate produce. The 30 kg storage bin sits directly under the evaporator drum; flakes fall by gravity, no auger, no crush points, no mechanical damage to the ice texture.
The evaporator is a vertical stainless drum with an internal auger scraping ice off the inner wall — a proven commercial design that runs quietly (≈52 dB) and reliably. R290 refrigerant keeps GWP low and future-proofs against F-gas cuts. The condenser breathes front-to-front so the unit backs against a wall, and the 550 W draw stays on a 13 A supply.
Cleaning is a front-panel cycle: the machine flushes the water circuit, the bin door lifts for manual wipe-down, and the auger area is accessible without tools. Adjustable feet take up uneven floors; the bin door seals with a magnetic gasket to hold temperature overnight.
