Why this kettle earns its place
The Smeg Mini Kettle in pink gives small spaces a proper kettle without the bulk of a full-sized model. Smeg describes its capacity as around three cups, so it is made for modest hot-drink service where filling a larger kettle would waste water and energy.
The feature set is compact but considered. A double-walled casing uses an internal stainless steel wall to keep water temperature for longer, while the outside remains colder to the touch. The interior and spout are stainless steel too, with a stainless steel lever and filter, so the parts that meet the water have the right clean, durable feel.
Day to day, the small details make it easier to live with: a concealed heating element, water level indicator, 360° swivel base, anti-slip feet and 1m integrated cord. The kettle also has automatic switch-off, giving a straightforward boil-and-stop routine for rooms, counters and small refreshment points.
