Why this bean to cup coffee machine earns its place
The De'Longhi La Specialista Arte Compact HW191 is made for people who want the feel of manual espresso without building a full professional coffee station. It keeps the barista workflow intact – grind, dose, tamp, brew and texture milk – but packages it in a more compact body than other models in the La Specialista range.
Control is the point of this machine. The integrated burr grinder gives eight adjustable grind settings, while Active Temperature Control offers three infusion temperature profiles at the touch of a button. Two one-touch recipes, Espresso and Long Black, cover the core coffee menu, and a dedicated hot-water outlet is included for teas and infusions.
The milk side is hands-on rather than automatic. De'Longhi's My LatteArt system and professional steam wand are there for crafted milk drinks, with unpressurised filter baskets for a more traditional espresso approach. The supplied barista kit includes a professional tamper, tamping mat, dosing and tamping guide, milk jug and two unpressurised filter baskets, so the main workflow pieces are in the pack.
