Why this water filter earns its place
The BRITA Purity Steam 1200 replacement cartridge is the consumable that keeps a Purity Steam system doing its real job: treating the water before it reaches professional steam-cooking equipment. It is a genuine BRITA replacement cartridge for the Purity Steam 1200 kit, listed for item code CU279.
BRITA's steam filtration is aimed at impurities that can spoil the quality of the water and the food it touches. The manufacturer specifically names calcium, magnesium, lead and copper as compounds untreated water can contain, and explains that filtration helps remove many impurities that impair taste and quality.
The cartridge is also about appliance protection. By reliably reducing limescale formation, it helps limit the build-up that can damage vital kitchen equipment over time. BRITA states improved flow performance of up to 500 l/h with 1 bar pressure loss.
