Why this hot plate earns its place
This is a display plate warmer for open-plan kitchens and service counters where hot food needs to be visible while staying at the right temperature. The Hatco is a low-profile unit—just 56 mm tall—that you can line up in a row with others or stand alone. The heated black glass shelves with ceramic top create uniform warmth across the display surface, so every plate gets the same heat whether it's centre or at the edge. Five temperature settings give you flexibility from gentle holding at 55 °C to hot holding at 95 °C, which matters when you're juggling different dishes coming off the pass at different times.
The unit is 400 × 600 mm—a 1/1 Gastronorm footprint—which means it integrates with standard catering kit sizing. At just 6 kg, it's modular: you can run one standalone or gang multiple units together in a line for a longer display. The output is controlled and efficient at 300W.
It's plug-connect, and because it's glass, it's designed to let customers and staff see what's being held. The ceramic top is forgiving on cookware and plates; the heat comes from underneath. The manufacturer notes that "modular multiple units can sit alongside one another," which is the whole point of the design—extend your display as your service grows.
