Why this hot plate earns its place
The CED Kubus is a self-service heated display platform built to fit straight into your existing countertop. Five full-size Gastronorm containers sit on a Ceran glass surface heated from underneath — even, controlled heat with no hot spots — while quartz lamps from above light and warm the food simultaneously. You get two independent controls: base temperature and surface heat, both adjusted and locked via a digital panel mounted at eye level, and a dimmer switch for the lighting to suit the time of day and foot traffic.
The Ceran glass surface isn't just practical; it's genuinely easier to clean than metal or ceramic. Food doesn't bond to glass the way it does to other materials, and the flat surface leaves nowhere for grease to sit. The glass is toughened for safety, and the whole structure is bright polished steel and aluminium — the kind of build that handles heavy daily use in a fast kitchen.
The display is factory-set to hold food core at 85°C, meeting food-safety standards for hot-holding. At 1.875m wide and 660mm deep, this is a proper buffet-line display — wide enough for bakery products, pastries, plated starters, or par-cooked proteins. Installation includes a lifting kit and a 2m flexible cable, hard-wired to a 16 Amp, 230V supply (3.3kW draw). Dishes are sold separately, and the unit runs 24 hours as needed, with independent base and surface heat controls so you never waste energy heating food that's already at temperature.
