Why this hot plate earns its place
The Buffalo HZ509 is the larger slimline warming tray in this format, built to hold a full-size GN 2/1 pan or a practical mix of smaller gastronorm dishes. For buffet food, staff can use one large tray for volume service, or split the surface into combinations such as two GN 1/1 pans or six GN 1/3 pans. The trays are sold separately, so the setup can be matched to the menu.
Its job is simple but important: keep cooked buffet food at a good serving temperature without turning the counter into a bulky hot cupboard. The slim profile makes it easy to work into a buffet line, canteen counter or assisted-service station, and it stores away more neatly when the service window is over.
Buffalo has kept the controls deliberately straightforward. Simple digital touch controls let staff set and lock the temperature, which is useful when the tray is in a self-service area or when several people are working the same counter. Rubberised feet help the tray stay steady during service.
